Sign-in Messages
Effective: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
24 Frames signs you in with a one-time code sent by text message. This page explains what happens when you enter your phone number, where the message comes from, what it costs, how long a code lasts and what we do with the message afterwards. The short version: we text you only when you ask, we never send marketing by SMS, and the code is wiped once it has been delivered.
What you are asking for
When you enter your phone number and tap to continue, you are asking us to send a one-time sign-in code to that number. If you ask for a new code, we send another. That is the only time 24 Frames will text you. We send no marketing, no reminders and no notifications by SMS.
Where the codes come from
Codes are sent from our own phones, using SIM cards on [SMS SENDING COUNTRY AND OPERATORS] numbers, and reach you through the mobile network operator that serves your phone. We use no third-party messaging company today; if that changes, we will update this page and the Privacy Policy.
What it costs
We do not charge for codes. Your operator may charge you to receive a text message, especially if you are roaming or outside [SMS SENDING COUNTRY AND OPERATORS]. Standard carrier rates apply.
How long a code lasts
- A code expires five minutes after we send it.
- A code stops working after too many wrong attempts.
- We limit how many codes a number can request in a short period. If you reach the limit, wait a few minutes and try again.
If you did not request a code
Someone may have typed your number by mistake, or someone may be trying to sign in as you. Do not share the code with anyone; nobody from 24 Frames will ever ask you for it. It is useless without your phone and expires on its own. If it keeps happening, email [SUPPORT EMAIL].
How we keep the message
- The message text is encrypted while it waits to be sent and wiped as soon as it has gone.
- We keep only a scrambled copy (a hash) of the code, never the code itself, and delete it one day after it expires.
- The record that a message went to your number is kept for 30 days for troubleshooting and abuse detection, then deleted. See the Data Retention Schedule.
- Your number is shared with your operator to deliver the message and is visible to the staff who run our sending phones while it is on its way. Nobody else receives it.
Stopping messages
Because we text you only when you ask for a code, there is nothing to unsubscribe from. If you no longer want codes, do not request them. To remove your number from 24 Frames altogether, email [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL] to delete your account.
